Twin-Domain Formation in Epitaxial Triangular Lattice Delafossites

چکیده
Twin domains are often found as structural defects in symmetry mismatched epitaxial thin films. The delafossite ABO2, which has a rhombohedral structure, is good example that forms twin domains. Although bulk metallic delafossites known to be the most conducting oxides, high conductivity yet realized film forms. Suppressed films mainly caused by formation of domains, and their boundaries can source scattering centers for charge carriers. To overcome this challenge, underlying mechanism must understood so such controlled eliminated. Here, we report origin twins formed CuCrO2 on substrate with hexagonal or triangular symmetries. A robust heteroepitaxial relationship substrate, surface termination turns out critical determine control domain structure delafossites. Based discoveries, also demonstrate twin-free grown high-miscut substrates. This finding provides an important synthesis strategy growing single-domain applied other high-quality

Triangular Lattice Potts Models
In this paper we study the 3-state Potts model on the triangular lattice which has twoand three-site interactions. Using a Peierls argument we obtain a rigorous bound on the transition temperature, thereby disproving a conjecture on the location of its critical point. Low-temperature series are generated and analyzed for three particular choices of the coupling constants; a phase diagram is the...
متن کاملStacked triangular lattice: Percolation properties
The stacked triangular lattice has the shape of a triangular prism. In spite of being considered frequently in solidstate physics and materials science, its percolation properties have received little attention. We investigate several nonuniversal percolation properties on this lattice using Monte Carlo simulation. We show that the percolation threshold is pbond c = 0.18602 ± 0.00002 for bonds ...
متن کاملOn Distance Sets in the Triangular Lattice
A point set X in the Euclidean plane is called a k-distance set if there are exactly k different distances between distinct points in X. Let g(k) denote the maximum number of points in a k-distance set. For example, it is well known that g(1) = 3, realized by the three vertices of an equilateral triangle. Erdős and Fishburn [2] introduce the problem of determining g(k). To date only six values ...
متن کاملKinetic antiferromagnetism in the triangular lattice.
We show that the motion of a single hole in the infinite-U Hubbard model with frustrated hopping leads to weak metallic antiferromagnetism of kinetic origin. An intimate relationship is demonstrated between the simplest versions of this problem in one and two dimensions, and two of the most subtle many body problems, namely, the Heisenberg Bethe ring in one dimension and the two-dimensional tri...
متن کاملSparse Distance Sets in the Triangular Lattice
A planar point-set X in Euclidean plane is called a k-distance set if there are exactly k different distances among the points in X. The function g(k) denotes the maximum number of points in the Euclidean plane that is a k-distance set. In 1996, Erdős and Fishburn conjectured that for k > 7, every g(k)-point subset of the plane that determines k different distances is similar to a subset of the...
